If you are thinking about getting a pet and are considering a ferret you will need to prepare your home for the new addition.
********************In the insect world, the beetles are known as predators because they eat aphids and other plant pests. A few years from now, the beetles may be in a low cycle, and then, perhaps, I will wish there were more of them when the aphids begin attacking crops, gardens and flowering plants. (I still don't want the beetles invading my house by the thousands, though.)You may find that your ferret likes to climb up into furniture. Recliners are a favorite hiding places of many ferrets so use care when using your favorite chair while your ferret is about. They can be crushed by recliners and rocking chairs. A few ferrets will also try to climb curtains and chew on cushions so it is best to keep an eye on them while they are outside of their cage. Use the garden hose to spray the beetles off the side of the house. Vacuum up the beetles with the vacuum cleaner attachment.
Ferrets make great pets for people of many ages. Just a little time and energy can help ferret-proof your home and provide a safe environment for your friend.
